Financial Data Analyst

PiTech Solutions is partnering with Health and Human Services, Program Support Center (PSC) and are seeking a Financial Data Analyst.  Program Support Center (PSC) is a shared services organization dedicated to providing support services to help its customers achieve mission-critical results. More than 40 services and products support three crucial business areas:

  • Financial Management
  • Occupational Health
  • Real Estate, Logistics, and Operations

The financial data analyst is responsible for analyzing and presenting financial data to Health and Human Services, PSC management, helping them to make informed decisions. The role also identifies risks and suggests or recommends solutions in order to avoid future risks, develop financial models, and identify market trends.

The financial data analyst occupies a crucial position in the financial planning and analysis as this role is responsible for handling and analyzing financial statements, and predicting the future performance of the organization, which includes forecasting future revenues and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CFP, FRM) may be preferred.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis, regression analysis, time series analysis, and predictive modeling. Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or SAS is often required.

Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial concepts, principles, and metrics, including financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement), financial ratios, and valuation methods.

Technology Skills: Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle), and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) is essential. Appian. Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials) may be beneficial.

Attention to Detail: Ability to handle large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities to identify patterns, anomalies, and discrepancies in financial data.
